Design and Development of Low-cost Wearable Electroencephalograms (EEG) Headset

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a method of capturing the electrophysiological signal brain. An EEG headset wearable device that records data from This paper presents design and fabrication customized low-cost based on open-source OpenBCI Ultracortex Mark IV system. The electrode placement locations are modified under 10–20 standard fabricated then compared to commercially available headsets following parameters: affordability, accessibility, noise, quality, cost. First, recorded 20 subjects who used Headset, signals were recorded. Secondly, participants marked accuracy, set up time, participant comfort, perceived ease set-up scale 1 7 (7 being excellent). Thirdly, self-designed headband by 5 for slide changing. raw decomposed into series band using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). Lastly, these findings have been previously reported studies. We concluded when slide-changing control, our had an accuracy 82.0 percent. also results performed well cost-effectiveness scale, reduced setup time 2 ± 0.5 min (the shortest among all compared), demonstrated greater use.
